Full featured Multi-Megapixel IP Video doesn't have to be expensive and it doesn't have to be an IP-only solution. StarDot's new NetCam SC gives you the best of both worlds in a compact and easy to configure package. Although the SC5 boasts a whopping 5 megapixel image sensor, it can be run at any resolution including HD (1080P & 720P), portrait and widescreen modes.

Even at standard CCTV resolution, NetCam SC will produces a much higher quality image than any CCTV camera. This is due to StarDot's integrated downsampling and intelligent video processing. NetCam SC's image processing technology is built upon fourteen years of StarDot digital camera design and production.

Why Video Out on an IP Camera?

A big shortcoming of most IP cameras is they can only be viewed with a computer on a network. While this is the whole point of IP cameras, it doesn't exactly sit well with the installer aiming and focusing the camera on top of a ladder. With NetCam SC, you can view the video output on any standard video monitor (including handheld LCD monitors).

What's So Special About Auto Iris Support?

On a standard CCTV camera, not much. To be able to use the widest range of lenses, auto iris support is important. Yet virtually no megapixel or multi-megapixel IP camera can drive a DC auto iris lens (other manufacturers skirt the problem with costly dual sensor / dual lens systems or they simply drive the lens wide open but do not regulate the iris).

Day/Night IR Filter on a Megapixel Camera?

The NetCam SC was specifically designed to bring in all the standard features of the analog CCTV world and combine them with multi-megapixel video. This includes a mechanical day/night IR cut filter that allows the camera to go into IR mode at night. Add an IR illuminator and now you clearly read license plates at night, even with the headlights aiming into the camera.
