The VG-04S DVR is advanced, networked digital video recording unit
based on RTOS technology, which makes it very stable, easy
to maintain and operate comparing with more complicated PC based machines running
on Windows/Unix/Linux operating platforms. Unit supports both PAL
and NTSC formats.
It was designed to replace VCRs connected to quads
and/or multiplexers, having all these functions in one
stand-alone system and therefore reducing the original cost so that many small
to medium sized businesses as well as home owners can afford to
secure their shops, offices or homes.
You can install up to two EIDE/IDE
hard disk drives of any capacity into the system. By adding TerraTray
HDD extension, you can have up to 4 additional hard disks for
more storage capacity. Furthermore, there is no need to pre-format
the
hard disk(s) before the installation as in the case with other
PC
based machines. Hard disk(s) will be formatted automatically
by proprietary DVR file system.
Since the quality of the recorded
image
is of high
importance for the end users, this becomes one of the major
benefits of the VG-04 DVR. Recording resolution of the video in the
DVR
is 720x576(PAL) and 720x240(NTSC), which is the highest standard
for
resolution you can find nowadays in the world market of digital
video recorders.
Built-in TCP/IP functionality gives end users
the ability
to access the unit via different TCP/IP networks (xDSL, LAN,
WAN etc..) not only to monitor their premises in real time but
also to search and download the recorded video.End users can also
control
Pan/Tilt/Zoom/Focus (PTZF) camera locally or remotely via
DVR's Remote
Control or software and save images on their client PC in
JPEG or AVI formats.
